Honestly? I agree with you on this list. The only thing that I don't with is the Ghostie placement, as he should have been the definitive first. Sure the Reaper is more iconic and rakes in the big ones, but the design, lore, and sound designs make it N.1 for me.

I actually really like the idea of Alterra actually having been telling the truth, not having nefarious intentions with Kharra, and Sam dying due to misunderstanding their goals and acting impulsively. I actually think that, at least conceptually, they _were_ trying to imply something like that, but the method of delivery didn’t make it clear enough (possibly due to Robin having a biased perspective on it). It’s sort of an “un-twist” that I think is a decent way to play with player’s expectations when it comes to sci-fi and cyberpunk-esque settings (especially since stories falling into the cyberpunk genre tend to be extremely formulaic). However, since Sam is seemingly supposed to be a likeable character in spite of this (at least in Robin’s eyes, which does make sense considering that they’re siblings), I can definitely understand why you felt it was done poorly. I do actually think that getting offworld and exploring the ruins of the Architects’ homeworld would be a great way to shake things up for the proper Subnautica sequel. It would give the developers a good reason to reuse wildlife sparingly, if at all, and could add back to the mystery and wonder we felt in the original game instead of going back to the same planet. I do also feel like they could expand the land sections, but ONLY if they truly improve on them and can make them feel at least decently close in quality to the underwater gameplay. Instead of being more of a DLC for the first game like Below Zero feels, the sequel should overhaul the gameplay a bit, especially when it comes to the land bits, if it wants to feel distinct. Luckily, it does seems like the developers have heard the feedback from Below Zero, so I’m cautiously excited.

Love the animations! Also find it interesting that the gargantuan and ancient leviathan skeletons are the only creatures we know of with six eyes!

Personally, I'd switch the ghost and shadow leviathans. The ghosts I always found easy to spot and avoid but the shadow leviathan is the only leviathan I felt truly hunted by. It's patrol pattern perfectly covers the the biome it inhabits whereas other leviathans seem to just wander the open water. As such I felt like the shadow leviathan was always looking for me specifically and not just some lost fish, hence I felt more "hunted" than other creatures which was specially terrifying.

The sea emperors could indeed give off a low telepathic signal, that could be how they live in such deep waters such as the void, especially the juveniles, that could stop leviathans like the ghost leviathans from attacking them.

It is explained why the architects couldn’t hear the sea emperor. In her line “For what they tried to take, I give to you freely” showing she likely simply didn’t tell them because of the enslavement she endured from the architects

This is so astonishing... you must have been through a lot doing this. You beared unimaginable horrors and pain to get through this challenge and I can only imagine that it must have changed you from the man you may or may not have been before. I wonder if someone made you do this. Kidnapped your child, held your wife hostage. I always would have thought that no human would be ever capable of going through such lengths as you did. And so you became a self victimizing, complaining woozy. A broken man, annoying the s**t out of others because of minor difficullties when doing a task that no one asked for. Only thing remaining is getting your act together and behave like a grown up again. If possible. And yes, you are the best. What you did is absolutely amazing, astonioshing and great. It is the best. It was worth it. It all was so worth it. That is commitment, that is heroism. If I could elect you to whatewer position, of course I would.

Honestly, I was kinda hoping subnautica 2.0 would give you the blueprints from that terminal on the aurora. (The one that gave you the repulsion cannon)
